About
Ms. Strong is a highly skilled and knowledgeable ophthalmologist with special interests in medical retina, cataract surgery and aesthetics.
After qualifying from Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' medical school in 2001, Ms. Strong undertook ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Western Eye Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital and Frimley Park Hospital. Her aesthetics training took place at The Deluxe Aesthetics Academy.
In 2012-2013, Ms. Strong undertook an additional 'Teaching fellowship' at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where she received the ‘Award for Excellence in Student Education’ from Bart's and the London medical school. She also achieved a Post-graduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCME) degree at UCL.
Ms. Strong is passionate about the NHS. She was 'Clinical Lead' for Ophthalmology at Watford & St. Albans Hospitals between 2021 - 2023 and received a ‘Star of Herts’ nomination
in 2022. Ms. Strong remains 'Medical Retina Lead' for her department as well as 'College Tutor' and 'Educational supervisor' for two specialty trainees.
Ms. Strong is equally passionate about her private practice, which covers the North West London and Hertfordshire areas. During her first 2 years of private practice, Ms. Strong also worked in Harley Street, London.
Ms. Strong has published many journal articles, presented at international meetings and lectured for the 'Biology of Vision/Clinical Ophthalmology' BSc at the Institute of Ophthalmology (IoO).
Ms. Strong is married with 3 children and is very family orientated. Her hobbies include: piano, singing, immersive experiences and flying, having achieved her private pilots licence at the age of 17. Ms. Strong also played the role of little Eponine in London West End's 'Les Miserables' in 1991.
